Sail Your Own Boat is run by Brian Morrison.

I have been sailing various types of boat all my life and have worked in the watersports industry since 1988, initially as a windsurfing and dinghy sailing instructor and since 1994 as a yacht skipper and instructor.

My relevant qualifications include:

RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean (Sail) (Commercially Endorsed)

RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail)

MCA Certificate of Proficiency in Medical Care

RYA/MCA Long Range Certificate

RYA/MCA Advanced Powerboat Certificate (Commercially Endorsed)

WiSe Master....

I have logged over 175,000 nautical miles at sea and some of my relevant experience includes:

RYA Instruction from Competent Crew to Yachtmaster
Yacht deliveries to many parts of the world incling many new boats from the boatyard to the client
Skipper of private yachts in UK, France, Scandanavia, Mediteranean
Skipper of several gaff rigged traditional vessels
Cetacean Research on 'Song of the Whale' and 'Silurian'
2 years working as a Flotilla Skipper in the Ionian, Greece which was a great way to gain a lot of expeience quickly

INSTRUCTION

I have been a Yachtmaster Instructor since 1997 working mainly on the West coast of Scotland. I am available to teach you in your own boat and happy to teach you whatever aspects of sailing you feel that you want to improve.

DELIVERIES

I have successfully delivered more than 20 yachts on journeys ranging from 5 to 5000 miles.

CETACEAN RESEARCH

I have considerable experience in skippering yachts doing research, mainly into marine mammals such as whales and dolphins. As well as the West coast of Scotland this work has taken me to the North Sea, the Mediterranean, Iceland, Greenland, USA, the Falklands and South Georgia.
